We had originally planned to take a work team to the UK in September of 2020, but the LORD had other plans! The Coronavirus stopped us from going in 2020, but we hope to take a team in February 16th to March 1st, 2023. This work team will be building and finishing a new structure, and/or putting a roof on an existing building. We will need carpenters, roofers, and painters, as well as finish workers. We will also hope to serve with one of the local churches in Harpenden. We will be living and working at the Youth With A Mission (YWAM) Base in Harpenden, UK. It is a 50 acre property, set in a lovely area, just 30 minutes from London, by train. The base is a former children's home, with several old brick buildings built around a large park-like grassy area, which they call the Oval.. (Highfield Oval.) Of course, it won't be all work and no play...we will build in a few days to sightsee and do some fun activities!
As your leaders, we will do our best to keep the cost of the trip reasonable, even though the U.S. dollar is worth less than the English pound.
